    Medium of Examination

     

    Qualifying Marks

    A candidate is declared to have passed the Foundation / Executive / Professional examination, if he/she secures at one sitting a minimum of 40% marks in each paper and 50% marks in the aggregate of all subjects.

    Time limit for completing the CS Examination

    A student is required to complete the Executive and Professional examination within the registration period. However, on payment of requisite fees, the validity of registration may be renewed/extended for a further period subject to fulfilling the applicable guidelines.

    Medium of Examination

    The Institute allows the facility to students to appear in examinations in English as well as in Hindi. (Except Business Communication subject of Foundation Program)

    ICMAI Exam – The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants:

    The Institute of Cost Accountants of India previously known as The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants (ICWAI) is an exam conducting body recognised by the Government of India, and registered under the Companies Act. In 1959, the institute was set up to promote and regulate Cost Accountancy profession in India. 

    The exams conducted under ICAI are: 

    • Foundation Examination
    • Intermediate Examination
    • Final Examination 

    Registrations for the ICAI Foundation & Intermediate courses are open throughout the year. However, students willing to appear for the June Term Examination should apply before 31st January of that year and for the December Term Examination should apply before 31st July of that year. 

     

     Exam Eligibility:

    Candidates registering for the exam must ensure that they check the eligibility criteria. Applications that do not comply by the eligibility criteria will be rejected by the officials.

    The eligibility criteria are as follows:

     Foundation Examination
    • The candidate should have cleared class 10 or equivalent exam. The same should be done by a recognized education higher secondary school board or institution
    • The candidate should have appeared for and cleared the Class 12 examination from a recognized board or
    • The candidate should have cleared the National Diploma in Commerce Examination
    • Candidates awaiting results are also eligible

     Intermediate Examination

    • The candidate should have cleared the 10+2 examination and the Foundation Course of ICMAI/ should be a graduate in any discipline apart from Fine Arts/Foundation (Entry Level) Part I Examination of CAT of the Institute/ Foundation (Entry Level) Part I Examination and Competency Level Part II Examination of CAT of the Institute

    Final Examination:
    • The candidate should have passed standard 12th
    • The candidate should be a Graduate in any discipline except Fine Arts or equivalent
    • The candidate should have cleared all eight papers of the CMA intermediate course
